China's fastener exports increased in both volume and value from January through September 2026, while the average export price also rose, according to data published by China Fastener Network. Southeast Asia and Central Asia stood out among export markets, and iron and steel fasteners classified under code 7318 were the main source of growth.
The rise in average price alongside shipment volume means that export value increased faster than volume. The figures do not, however, establish how much of the price change came from shifts in the product mix or from changes in prices for comparable products.

Zhejiang remained the largest exporting province by scale. Its exports of 7318 products accounted for approximately 38.6% of China's total export value in that category, although growth in the province had entered a steadier phase.
That share points to Zhejiang's importance within the category, but it should not be read as its share of all fastener exports. The prominence of 7318 products in overall growth also makes their subsequent performance a useful measure to follow, alongside whether momentum in Southeast Asia and Central Asia continues.
